Tony Collins:   –   A Career Forged in Restoration,  Business,  and Broadcasting

Tony Collins is an accomplished professional with a distinguished career spanning classic car restoration, international business, and radio broadcasting. An award-winning classic car restorer, Tony also established and managed a highly successful car import business from the early 1990s through the 2000s.  This venture honed his exceptional skills in marketing and advertising.  His foray into radio began serendipitously during this period through a chance encounter with Dave Turner, affectionately known as “Dave the Fish.” Turner was a well-regarded figure among the presenters and crew of Radio Caroline, the legendary pirate radio ship instrumental in shaping numerous broadcasting careers. Following the initial raid by UK authorities, Tony journeyed to the Radio Caroline ship, providing essential supplies and records with Dave.

This pivotal experience ignited his passion for radio, setting the stage for his future endeavours in the industry.  Leveraging his profound understanding of business from his import enterprise and his deep-seated enthusiasm for radio, Tony Collins now brings his considerable expertise to the Lazer Hits team as our Advertising and Marketing Manager for the UK market.
