Phil Smith

Background

Some might think Phil is on work release after his long absence from the radio dial, but we’re not asking questions!

Phil started his radio career in Seattle, WA, working on-air at 96-5 KYCW Young Country.  Over the years, Phil has worn many hats in radio, starting as a promotions intern at STAR 101.5 (KPLZ), 570 KVI, and KOMO-AM News.

In addition, Phil worked as a Broadcast Engineer at 106.1 KISS-FM (KBKS), 94.1 KMPS, 102.5 KZOK, KUBE 93, KJR-AM, and KJR-FM where he worked closely with legendary radio talents that would become inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.  Phil later worked a KIRO-FM, KIRO-AM, and 770 KTTH Seattle.

Phil grew up in the ‘80’s and ‘90’s listening to great personality driven radio stations across the country and loved Top 40 radio enough to make it a career.

When not on Lazer Hits, Phil enjoys working out, running, swimming and anything related to classic cars and modern cars.
